In another thrilling showdown at the picturesque Dharamsala stadium, Virat Kohli came up with yet another signature knock of 95 runs, helping India beat New Zealand by four wickets in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The match witnessed Kohli’s brilliant performance as the cornerstone of India’s triumph. This win marked India’s first victory over New Zealand’s team in an ICC event in two decades.

Now, an image that has surfaced on social media shows a man holding a placard which has gone viral. ‘X’ user ‘Shubh’ took to the micro blogging site and uploaded the picture and wrote, “King Kohli today’s pre-workout before batting.” The placard has been held by a team India fan. It says, “Baap ka Dada ka, Mahi Bhai ke Run out ka, Sabka Badla Lega Tera Chiku.”

“Revenge taken,” commented an ‘X’ user as the text written on the placard turned out to be correct.

Meanwhile, Kohli’s 95 runs off 104 balls came out as a testament to his exceptional skill. Indian captain Rohit Sharma had won the toss and he elected to bowl first, making two changes to his side as Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Shami came in to replace Shardul Thakur and the injured Hardik Pandya.

The match also came to an abrupt halt due to dense fog and low visibility at the packed Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. This happened when Kohli and Shreyas Iyer were at the crease as India’s score read 100/2 while chasing New Zealand’s 273.
