The Central Board Of Secondary Education will start the procedure to register private students for the board examination 2024 from today, September 12. Interested and eligible students can register themselves with CBSE as a private student. Students can access the form from the official website, cbse.gov.in, once released. The last date to submit the application form is October 11. After that, candidates will be allowed to submit the registration forms till October 19 with a late fee of Rs 2000.
CBSE will conduct the board exam for the private candidates in February, March, and April. The exam fee for five subjects is Rs 1500 and Rs 300 for each extra subject. The candidates who will appear for compartment, additional, and improvement exams will have to pay Rs 300. The practical exam fee for each subject is Rs 100.
Eligibility criteria for private students:
— Candidates from the session 2022–23 who are declared “essential repeat” in the exam in 2023–23
— Students from the 2022–23 academic year who have been assigned to a compartment in the board’s main test in 2023
— Candidates who were assigned to a compartment at the first-chance compartment exam
— Candidates declared failed or essential repeat in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
— Applicants from the classes of 2022 and 2023 who wish to reappear in order to improve their performance in one or more subjects
— Qualified candidates from 2022 and 2023 who want to take an additional subject
— Female aspirants who are Delhi residents.
— Candidates with special needs who live in Delhi and have reached the age limit for Class 10 or 12.
How to Apply
Candidates can apply for the exam by visiting the official website and filling up the application form. They must be aware that simply submitting the form and paying the cost does not grant them the right to show up for the exam. He or she must satisfy the requirements of the board in order to be eligible. Net banking, a debit card, or a credit card (domestic or foreign) must be used to pay the fees online. Cheques, Postal Orders, Money Orders, and other forms of offline payment are not accepted. Additionally, the exam location will be assigned based on the candidate’s choice of city on the application.
Meanwhile, the class 10 and class 12 regular board exams for the academic year 2023–2024 will start on February 15, 2024, according to the CBSE. The board has asked that all organizations plan their exams while taking into consideration the timing for the aforementioned board exams. According to the board, the exam would end on April 10, 2024, after 55 days. The exact schedule for the board exams in 2024 has not yet been made public. Students can access the official date sheet for classes 10 and 12 via the website whenever it is released.
