This Is Me Now: A Love Story trailer shows Jennifer Lopez navigating all the stages of romance — from being madly in love to getting heartbroken, and then bouncing back on her feet.

Jennifer Lopez has released the trailer for her upcoming film This Is Me… Now: A Love Story. The narrative movie is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on February 16. Interestingly, the day also marks the release of the singer’s much-anticipated ninth studio album also titled This Is Me…Now which will be JLo’s first song release in a decade. Dropped on January 17, the trailer of This Is Me shows Jennifer Lopez on a personal journey of love, loss, and healing. What makes the film more riveting is the fact that the plot is inspired by the 54-year-old’s romantic relationships in real life.

This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’s trailer opens with Jennifer Lopez enjoying a bike ride with a special someone. “I know what they say about me. About hopeless romantics. That we are weak. But I’m not weak. I have learned the hard way. Not all love stories have a happy ending,” says JLo in the background as she navigates all the stages of romance — from being madly in love to getting heartbroken, and then bouncing back on her feet. The film is touted to be made from the “heart, soul, and dreams of Jennifer Lopez” giving the audience a never-before-seen version of the acclaimed singer and actress.

Some time into the trailer, Jennifer Lopez’s friends point out to her that she is a “sex addict”. Although she denies the claims vehemently, later on, the singer is seen taking one-to-one and group therapy sessions. Although she is portrayed to be someone who dates new men, she is also alone at heart. During one therapy session, Lopez admits that she has had trouble sleeping as a child. In response to a person who says that no one understands her, Lopez is quick to say, “I don’t even get me” indicating her complicated life.

Infused with stunning visuals, fantastical elements, and musical sequences, This Is Me… Now: A Love Story promises to shed light on Jennifer Lopez’s private personal relationships and her life choices. “Whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was always in love,” says Lopez in the trailer. The quote underlines the singer’s string of four marriages along with her umpteen relationships.

Directed by Dave Meyers, This Is Me… Now: A Love Story also stars Jennifer Lopez’s present husband and actor Ben Affleck, Trevor Noah, Post Malone, Sofia Vergara, Jay Shetty, and Fat Joe among others.
