Anil Kapoor’s mother Nirmal Kapoor is celebrating her 88th birthday today, September 27. On this special occasion, the members of the Kapoor family have taken to social media to drop photos with the beloved birthday girl. The veteran actor shared a couple of photos including a throwback picture and a family portrait. The family photo also had his daughter Sonam Kapoor holding her newborn baby, Vayu.
Sharing the photos, Anil Kapoor wrote, “The wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother & now great grandmother celebrates her 88th birthday today! There’s no one like you! Happy Birthday Mom! ♥️ @nirmalkapoorbombay"

Earlier in the day, Sonam, too, shared a birthday post for her grandmother. The first photo shared by her is her childhood photo with her granny while the second photo sees Nirmal holding Sonam’s baby. However, his face is blurred. Sonam captioned the post, “Happy happy birthday dadi love you @nirmalkapoorbombay."
Sonam’s cousin, Shanaya Kapoor, too, dropped a couple of throwback photos with her. Shanaya is Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter.
Meanwhile, talking of Sonam, the actress and her husband Anand Ahuja welcomed their son Vayu in August this year. Last week, the new mom took to social media to share the baby’s name with her fans and followers.
The news of Sonam’s baby boy was first confirmed on social media by Neetu Kapoor. Later, Sonam and Anand also took to Instagram and shared a statement announcing the same. “On 20.08.2022 we welcomed our beautiful baby boy with bowed heads and open hearts. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family who have supported us on this journey. It is only the beginning, but we know our lives are forever changed – Sonam and Anand," their statement read.
