When Pankaj Tripathi Spoke About The Challenges In The Entertainment Industry
In a throwback video, Pankaj Tripathi discussed how he faced challenges in the competitive industry and what it takes to be a successful actor.

Pankaj Tripathi is undeniably a powerhouse of talent. From comedic roles in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi to intense portrayals such as Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, the actor has repeatedly proven his mettle. However, his success isn’t solely due to his talent; his humility and simplicity play a significant role as well. In a throwback video shared by Anupama Chopra, Tripathi discussed how he navigated the challenges of the competitive industry and what it takes to be a successful actor.

When asked if he ever felt angry about less talented actors achieving tremendous success, Pankaj Tripathi responded humbly, “Mujhe bhi lagta tha ki aare ye kya hai? Kaise hai? Aisa kyun hai? Jahaan bhi kuch dekhte hain na ush neech ki duniya equal kyun nahi hai? But duniya hai phir, sab kuch equal nahi hoga (Even I thought that why is this and how. Wherever I saw some kind of inequality, I thought why is this world not equal? But then it’s the world where everything cannot always be equal).” He added that there are many successful actors who might not be very good in terms of acting but they have other qualities which are liked by people.

Furthermore, Pankaj Tripathi stated that initially, he thought that he came from a drama school and it would be an easy ride for him but “Yaha ab samaj mein aata hai ki apart from acting aapko aur das cheezein aani chahiye (Here I understood that apart from acting you need to know others things as well.)” Moreover, he mentioned that according to what was taught to him in drama school he believed there were three things he needed: “motivation, truth and realism.” But later understood none of it is valued in the real world. However, the actor strongly believes that talent is extremely important to drive one towards success. He stated, “ End of the day, marketing sab kuch hone ke saath saath, aapke paas aapki craft bhi honi chahiye. Tabhi baaki cheezin kam karengi (While marketing means a lot, one should know their craft as well, then the rest of it will work).”

Work-wise, Pankaj Tripathi will soon be seen in Stree 2 alongside, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee. The film will be released on August 15. He was last seen in the third season of Mirzapur.
