Jigra featuring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in lead roles, will hit the theatres on October 11. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt and Soumen Mishra produced the upcoming action prison drama film under Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. Vasan Bala’s directorial will also have a song named Chal Kudiye, sung by Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh. This Hindi song is all about inner strength and confidence and is dedicated to the fearless character played by Alia in the film.
Now, while promoting Jigra, Diljit Dosanjh, known for his sense of humour and singing talent, shared a hilarious video featuring Alia Bhatt. In an Instagram post, the actor-singer shared a vlog from Chal Kudiye’s behind-the-scenes and mimicked the actress with his funny voiceover. His mimicry and hilarious one-liners left the audience in splits.
Diljit’s video began with his voiceover as he mimicked Alia, saying, “Hoon hoon Diljit ji kaha the aap. Arrey cameraman jaldi focus karo. Diljit ji aap Bombay mein concert kyun nahi kar rahe hain? Filmein bhi aap bahut kam karte hain, bas gaane karte hain. Aap na shuffle karte raha karein filmein, gaane, and all. (Diljit ji, where were you? Cameraman, focus quickly. Diljit ji, why aren’t you doing a concert in Bombay? You don’t do much in films. You just sing. You should keep shuffling between films, songs, and all.)”
Afterwards, the video featured some behind-the-scenes of the song. Meanwhile, the actor-singer continued his voiceover, which can be heard as “Alia ji, biche reel da shoot chal pya. Do samayla Alia ji ne sitiyaan te do sitiyaan yaad rakhiyan. Jeb mein haath pak hai to lo ji reel gayi. Ban te Alia ji kehni main personal reel check karungi, very perfectionist ji. Jigra dekh ho baar baar. (So, the reel shoot has started. Two smiles from Alia ji and two whistles from Yatra. If I clap my hands, the reel will start. Alia ji says, I’ll check the personal reel. Very perfectionist.)”
The video concluded with the voiceover, “Okay Diljit ji, very, very Namaskar. Our film is coming out on 11th October. Watch it again and again.” In the video, Diljit wore a white suit with matching shoes and a turban, while Alia looked stunning in a black T-shirt and cargo pants. Diljit captioned the post as “JIGRA Releasing on 11th October Alia Bhatt.”
Alia Bhatt soon reacted to the video, mentioning, “Hahahahaha,” followed by fire emojis. On the other hand, Dharma Productions commented, “Nothing, just two Jigras catching up!” The actress reshared the video on her IG stories and tagged Diljit, followed by two rolling on-the-floor emojis and hashtags Jigra BTS atop it.
Alia Bhatt earlier shared an Instagram post featuring her Udta Punjab co-star, Diljit Dosanjh. In the picture, both the stars were seated on chairs with special messages written on the back. Diljit’s chair read, “Sings about Kudi,” while Alia’s chair said, “The said ‘Kudi’.” The title of their upcoming film, Jigra, was also displayed in LED lights in the same frame. Alia tagged Diljit and wrote in her caption, “Chairs say it all.”
