Bollywood actor, Tusshar Kapoor was recently spotted at Tirumala where he was seen offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara. As per reports, the actor was there on Friday morning, September 6 and he had a darshan of the lord and offered his prayers there. After the darshan, the pandits blessed him while chanting prayers at the Ranganayakula Mandapam.
At the temple, the officials honoured him with sacred offerings and presented him with a traditional silk cloth. Despite having worked in numerous films, he was dressed simply in all-white clothes. His appearance in a simple white shirt and dhoti helped him not seek much attention.
During this time, there has been quite the pilgrim rush at Tirumala. On Thursday, more than 61,000 devotees visited the temple to get a darshan of Lord Venkateswara and offered their prayers. Post darshan, devotees contributed about Rs 3.20 crore in the form of offerings in the temple donation box. On Friday afternoon at noon, devotees were waiting at the Vaikuntham Queue Complex and as per Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), the official waiting time was 8 hours for darshan. On Thursday, as many as 21, 525 devotees offered hair to the lord. TTD provided milk, buttermilk, khichdi, upma, sambar-rice, curd rice and other foods to the devotees waiting in the queue.
Today, the actor welcomed Lord Ganesha to his home and shared a video on Instagram. He was joined by his son Laksshya Kapoor, sister Ektaa R Kapoor and her son Ravie for the Ganpati aarti. The video on social media showed the actor dressed in an ivory-coloured dhoti and doing the aarti while his sister and the children were standing beside him.
The caption read, “And he’s back again, to give us the right perspective for all that we desire for ourselves and our families!! May his divine intervention prevail over all deluded thoughts and may he grant us the wisdom to be the best version of ourselves, in all spheres!”
On the work front, Tusshar Kapoor marked his debut in the industry in 2001 with the film Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Till now he has featured in 30 films and even backed a few films. He was last seen in the 2024 film titled Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2. He has Welcome to the Jungle and Kapkapiii in the pipeline.
