Tamil MP Visits Mari Selavaraj’s House And Congratulates Him For His Film Vaazhai
Thirumavalavam congratulated Mari Selvaraj and the child artists of the film Vaazhai by giving them shawls.

Mari Selvaraj’s Vaazhai is garnering praise from critics and audiences after its theatrical release. It is being hailed as one of the best films of his career. It starred the debutant child actors Ponvel M and Rahul R in the lead roles. Kalaiyarasan, Nikhila Vimal, Karnan Janaki, Dhivya Duraisamy, Pathmen, J Satish Kumar and Nivedita Rajappan are seen in prominent roles. The film was made on a budget of Rs 5 crore. It was released in theatres worldwide on August 23. The film revolves around the death of 20 plantain farm workers near Srivaikundam, who were buried alive under bananas loaded in the lorry when it overturned. The film is dedicated to the victims of this incident. Produced on a meagre budget, the film has collected Rs 15 crore till now. Appreciating the social message of the film, fans of Mari Selvaraj have flooded social media with reviews and congratulatory messages. Enlisting his name in the list of well-wishers, politician Tholkappiyan Thirumavalavan visited Mari Selvaraj’s home and congratulated him for the success of the film.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi party leader, Thirumavalavan watched Vaazhai and went to his residence to meet him. He congratulated him and the child artists of the film by giving them shawls. He also had a meal on a banana leaf with Mari Selvaraj’s family at his residence. Mari Selvaraj, who shared the video of the politician’s visit on the social media platform X (formerly called Twitter) expressed his heartfelt gratitude, noting that Thirumavalavan, who came to congratulate him in person, held his heart tight.

“Annu Annan Thol came home after watching the movie and congratulated. Love and gratitude to Thirumavalavan,” wrote Mari Selvaraj white posting the video.

In the viral clip, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi’s leader hugged Mari Selvaraj, honoured him with a shawl and later had lunch with the lead child actor and the director. He later visited Mari Selvaraj’s study room. He also snapped group pictures with the director’s family.
