Telugu film Paarijathaparvam, headlined by Shraddha Das, started streaming on OTT platform Aha Video on June 12 after attaining mixed reviews at the box office. Written and directed by Kambhampati Santosh, Paarijathaparvam starred an ensemble cast of Sunil, Harsha Chemudu, Surekha Vani and others. Produced by Vanamalee Creations, Paarijathaparvam was released on the big screens on April 19, 2024. Ree composed the music for Paarijathaparvam, while Bala Saraswathi handled the cinematography. Sasank Vupputuri is in charge of the editing, while Mahidar Reddy and Devesh have produced this film. As per critics, Harsha Chemudu and Sunil were impressive with their comic timing, but the weak storyline and screenplay proved spoilsport for its success.
Shraddha Das will next act in the satire film Chai Shai Biscuits, written and directed by Himanshu Bhatnagar. She also has Arrdham and Lechindi Mahila Lokam in her kitty.
Shraddha made her acting debut with the 2008 Telugu film Siddu from Srikakulam. Later, she worked in several popular films including Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, The Royal Bengal Tiger, Sanam Teri Kasam, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, and PSV Garuda Vega. She also stirred the headlines for her portrayal of Saumya Mukherjee in the web series Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.
Shraddha feels language or region is no bar if you believe in the magnitude of cinema. In an earlier interview with a media portal, she elucidated more about this topic. She said, “Over time, the language precincts have reduced enormously and it’s great for actors who get to choose to work across regions. Working across the region is a bit more challenging as I have to work hard on my dialogues and pronunciations, as my language is Hindi but at the end of the day it’s all about cinema. Also, the team helps Hindi actors a lot to polish the lingo and simultaneously work on our body language.”
Besides acting, Shraddha also stirs the headlines with her fashion statements. In one of her recent viral photos, she donned a sleeveless white knitted top, which she teamed with a pair of blue shorts. The 33-year-old actress completed her look with a pair of white slippers, which she can be seen soaking in nature. Shraddha Das went all natural and tied her hair in a messy bun, which complemented her look.
