Shoot Of Kannada Film Devil Halted After Darshan's Arrest In Murder Case

Actor Darshan has been making headlines after he was arrested in connection with a murder case on Tuesday morning. He, his rumoured girlfriend Pavithra Gowda and 11 others were arrested on charges of murder of Renuka Swamy. After his arrest, the producer and director of the film Devil- The Hero was shocked as he had already been paid a huge amount for the film.

According to reports, the actor is paid a whopping Rs 22 crore for the film. The teaser that was released earlier attracted a massive buzz among the fans but only 25 days of shooting have been completed. Most of the parts are yet to be filmed.

During the first schedule of the shooting, Darshan injured his left hand while shooting an action scene. Due to this, the shooting of the film was halted. The popular actor then had to undergo surgery which further delayed the shooting. Just two days after the start of the second phase of the shooting, his arrest took place which left the director and producers shocked.

Darshan was supposed to be present at the shooting venue yesterday, but he was arrested by the police on murder charges. Director Prakash Veer mentioned that he had earlier planned to release the film on December 25 of this year. But due to the unavailability of the hero, the shooting of the film is presently halted. According to various reports, the shooting of the film will not resume until the star actor is released from custody. Darshan was in Mysuru for the shooting when the police detained him.

Several films are lined up for Darshan but everything seems to have stopped now after the arrest. After the conclusion of the film Devil the actor was supposed to start the shooting of the film D59 directed by Tarun Sudhir. As per reports, after the arrest of the actor, the shooting of the film is also postponed to next year. For this film, Darshan has reportedly already taken an advance payment of Rs 3 crore.

Despite everything, the fans of the popular actor have decided to support him unconditionally amid the arrest. Many fans crowded in front of the police station and the hospital where he was taken for medical tests. The fans were seen in support of the famous actor.
