Ajay Devgn has recently announced the shooting of his next film Son Of Sardar 2. The comedy-drama shooting is currently taking place in the UK. Amid this, a report claimed that Sanjay Dutt had been dropped from the film after his visa was rejected. Ravi Kishan has replaced him. And now finally the actor has reacted to the news and confirmed that his visa has been denied. He said that this is very wrong.

Talking to Bombay Times, Sanjay Dutt stated that he is upset with this decision. The actor stated that the UK Government has not done the right thing. “They gave me the Visa (initially). in the United Kingdom Everything was ready. Then a month later you are cancelling my Visa! I gave you (the UK government) all the papers and everything. Why did you give me the Visa (in the first place)? You shouldn’t have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the laws?”

Adding further to it, “I am not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong. They need to rectify this. I am a law-abiding citizen. I go according to the law and I respect every country’s law.”

Sanjay Dutt’s UK visa was rejected because of his 1993 case. He was detained under TADA and the Arms Act. Later, the actor was also found guilty of violating the Arms Act for possessing illegal firearms acquired from other individuals involved in the 1993 Bombay bombings.

Ajay Devgn recently took to his Instagram to announce the Muhurat of the film. Helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora, the film has an extensive shoot schedule in the UK, followed by India. Ajay shared a video with the caption, “The journey of #SonOfSardaar2 begins with prayers, blessings, and an amazing team.” In the video, Ajay could be seen offering prayers at a gurdwara while Mrunal Thakur was seen performing bhangra on stage.

The film will be directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and comes nearly 12 years after the original. The first film featured Ajay Devgn trying to win Sonakshi Sinha’s hand in marriage by trying to impress her older brother, played by Sanjay Dutt. However, as per reports, Sonakshi Sinha will not be a part of the sequel. A release date for the film is yet to be decided.
