Ratan Tata Passes Away: Amitabh Bachchan Recalls 'Wonderful Moments With Him', Says 'Just Came To Learn...'
Amitabh Bachchan has penned a heartfelt note to mourn the death of Ratan Tata.

Veteran industrialist and Tata Sons Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata passed away on October 9 at 86. He was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital earlier this week due to a sudden drop in blood pressure. Many celebrities have shared heartfelt tributes to the legendary figure, recalling his leadership, values, and contributions that shaped the country. Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to mourn the loss of the late legend.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “T 5159(i) – .. just came to learn of the passing of Shri Ratan Tata .. was working very late .. An era has ended .. a most respected, humble yet visionary leader of immense foresight and resolve .. Spent some wonderful moments with him, during several Campaigns we were involved in together .. My prayers .”

Amitabh Bachchan and Ratan Tata have an interesting, lesser-known connection. Amitabh Bachchan was the hero in the only film that Ratan Tata ever produced. In 2004, Tata made his foray into the world of cinema by co-producing a film titled Aetbaar. The film, a romantic psychological thriller directed by Vikram Bhatt, starred Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu. Tata co-produced the film alongside Jatin Kumar. Amitabh Bachchan and Ratan Tata have had a long-standing association via campaigns, as mentioned by the actor in his post.

Ratan Tata’s passing has left a profound void in India’s corporate and philanthropic landscape and the world is mourning this tragic loss. The Tata family issued a statement which read, “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Ratan.”

“We, his brothers, sisters and family, take solace and comfort in the outpouring of love and respect from all who admired him. While he is no longer with us in person, his legacy, humility, generosity and purpose will continue to inspire future generations. During this time of grief, we request privacy as we come together to honour his memory,” the statement read.

Ratan Tata was known not only for his remarkable business insight but also for his commitment to philanthropy and ethical leadership. His contributions spanned industries, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations. As Bollywood stars and business leaders come together to remember Tata, his immense influence will resonate for years.
