Rashmika Mandanna Is A Shy College Student In And As 'The Girlfriend'; Check Out Her First Poster

Rashmika Mandanna fans are in for a big treat as the actress’ two new official posters from her upcoming film ‘The Girlfriend’ has been unveiled. To mark her 28th birthday, the makers of ‘The Girlfriend’ decided to introduce Rashmika’s character to her fans by sharing the posters on social media.

The production company behind the film, Geetha Arts, shared two look posters of the actress on its official X account. Going by the looks of the posters, it seems Rashmika is playing the role of a college student in the movie. She looks visibly shy in one of the posters, while in another one she is lost in thought.

“Her eyes smile before she does. And they speak the words that she won’t. Introducing #TheGirlfriend! Wishing the National crush, the ever joyous and cheerful @iamRashmika a very Happy Birthday,” read the post shared by the production company.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is celebrating her 28th birthday in UAE. It is being reported that her rumoured boyfriend Vijay Deverakonda has also joined her for the vacay. Rashmika also gave an inside glimpse into her birthday celebrations a while back. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share two happy photos of herself soaking up the Sun while taking a sip of coffee. Rashmika jetted off to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi on April 3 to ring in her special day.

There are rumours doing the rounds that Rashmika’s rumoured boyfriend, actor Vijay Deverakonda, has also joined her for the trip. Fans on X and Reddit pointed out that Rashmika shared a picture of a peacock on her Instagram stories, and hours later, Vijay shared a video promoting his upcoming film, which also had the peacock in the background.

Interestingly, Vijay’s new film Family Star, directed by Parasuram Petla and co-starring Mrunal Thakur, releases in theatres today, on Rashmika’s birthday. Rashmika, on the other hand, will soon be seen in Pushpa: The Rule, in which she will reprise her role as Srivalli alongside Allu Arjun.
