Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and others promises a return to the spooky yet hilarious world where the legendary Stree continues to terrify men.

Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-comedy Stree 2 is one of the most awaited films of the year. Fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. To maintain the excitement level makers have shared a new poster along with the announcement of the trailer release. The news has created a lot of buzz.

Rajkummar Rao took to his Instagram handle and shared the poster featuring him along with others. They are facing Stree who has hidden her face under a veil. “Ho jaiye taiyar Aa raha hai #Bicky with his most loved gang and with #Stree ji for the biggest horror comedy of the year. #Stree2 Trailer out tomorrow. The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024,” read the caption here. As soon as the poster was shared, fans reacted. One of the fans wrote, “Most awaited movie of the year.” Another wrote, “National Award Winner Rajkumar Rao’s Stree Will Be Blockbuster.”

On June 25, the teaser was released. Taking to his Instagram handle, Rajkummar Rao wrote, “Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! The legend returns this INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August! #Stree2 #SheIsBack #Stree2Teaser.” The video opens with Rajkummar Rao and others pouring milk on the statue of Stree. There is chaos in the village as they keep saying ‘Stree wapas aa gaye’. Glimpses of Shraddha Kapoor as Stree is also seen. Tamannaah Bhatia is also seen in the teaser.

Also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, it promises a return to the spooky yet hilarious world where the legendary Stree continues to terrify men. Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a double dose of chills and laughter! Stree 2 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024.

After much delay, Stree 2 finally went on floors last year in July in Chanderi, a town in Madhya Pradesh where the first installment of the horror-comedy franchise was also set. Stree 2 is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It is part of the producer’s horror-comedy universe, including films like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya.
