The wait is over for the fans of the superstar Rajinikanth as Vettaiyan had its theatrical release yesterday, October 10. Unsurprisingly, the premiere day of the release was nothing short of history, with fans and the audience alike clamouring to cinema halls for the first glimpse. Among those, a superstar is said to have been to one of the screenings of the film, which just depicts the star power of our beloved superstar.
This actor is our very own Thalapathy Vijay, who is believed to have attended a screening of Vettaiyan. A video is doing rounds on social media, showing a masked man hurriedly entering a car, believed to be Vijay. The 1-minute 25-second clip is recorded from the back of a white SUV when the backdoor opens and a man, who has covered his whole face with a cloth and a cap, enters the car in a hurry. The car then takes off, while the fans continue to follow and record with their phones.

The clip was shared on X by an account called @FilmifyEnglish, along with the tweet, “Vijay who saw the film Vettaiyan… Thalapathy came for the leader..!”
Vettaiyan, released on Thursday, has grossed over Rs 31 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day, as per the reports of the Sacnilk website. The reports added that the highest collection came from the Tamil version of the film, which raked in a reported Rs 27.75 crore. While the Hindi and Kannada versions amassed Rs 60 lakh and Rs 50 lakh, respectively.
The film was made under the direction of T J Gnanavel, also credited as its writer. The cast includes Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati and others. It is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. The music is done by Anirudh Ravichander, the cinematographer is S R Kathir and Philomin Raj has done the editing. The screenplay is penned by B Kiruthika.
