Divyenndu Sharma, who gained widespread recognition for his role as Munna Bhaiya in Mirzapur, became a fan favourite despite the character’s negative traits. Though Munna Bhaiya met a dramatic end in the second season, the release of the third season earlier this year left fans longing for his return. To their delight, the makers have just released a bonus episode featuring none other than Munna Bhaiya himself, offering viewers a thrilling surprise.
In a video shared on Prime Video’s official handle, Divyenndu Sharma, aka Munna Bhaiya, addresses his fans with a touch of his signature flair: “Hum kya gaye, pura bawaal mach gaya. Suna hai humare loyal fans bohot miss kiye humko. Season 3 me kuchh cheezein miss kiye aap. Wo hum khoj ke le aaye hain, just for you, Munna Tripathi ke suajanya se. Kyuki hum karte pehle hain, sochte baad me hain.(There has been havoc since I left. My dedicated followers appear to have missed me greatly. There were a few things you missed out on in Season 3. I’ve found these just for you. Because I always act before thinking).” The caption along with the post read, “Bawaal hone wala hai, kyunki bonus episode aa raha hai. (There is going to be havoc because the bonus episode is here).”
Fans are buzzing with excitement over the surprise bonus episode featuring Munna Bhaiya. Reactions have been overwhelmingly positive, with one fan calling it the “Biggest comeback of the year,” and another exclaiming, “Jalwa hai Munna Bhaiya ka.”
Mirzapur Season 3, produced by Excel Media and Entertainment and directed by Gurmmeet Singh and Anand Iyer, continues to impress with its stellar ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Isha Talwar, Anjumm Shharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Harshita Shekhar Gaur, and many more.
Mirzapur first premiered in November 2018 and quickly gained acclaim, leading to the creation of a second season, which debuted on Prime Video in October 2020. The dramatic conclusion of the second season saw Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi) killing Munna Bhaiya. The third season picks up the story from this pivotal moment, continuing the gripping narrative that captivated audiences.
