Tamannaah Bhatia has successfully dabbled in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu language films, creating a niche for herself in all three industries. Her biggest success came with the Baahubali films which further increased her popularity. In today’s times, when the taboo revolving around showing lovemaking and sex scenes in movies is getting abolished, Tamannaah has, for the longest time, avoided performing such scenes on camera. She also had a no-kissing clause in her films, which she broke for the first time, performing a liplock scene with Vijay Varma for Lust Stories 2. She also performed intimate scenes with Suhail Nayyar for Amazon Prime’s Jee Karda.
Now, the actress has spoken out about how it feels to be shooting intimate scenes for the camera. According to Tamannaah, her observation is that male actors are more uncomfortable than actresses during intimate scenes, contrary to popular belief, “Actors are more nervous and uncomfortable than us. It is probably because they are burdened with the thought of whether the actress would mind if they go overboard and also because they have a responsibility of making the actress feel comfortable”, she said.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Tamannaah’s latest offering Aranmanai 4 is doing well at the box office. Even its Telugu dubbed version has had a good opening. As of now, Aranmanai 4 has grossed Rs 47.90 crores net at the Indian box office, successfully covering its reported budget. This indicates that the film is on track to becoming a solid commercial success. The latest buzz now is that, because of the film’s success, it will also be dubbed in Hindi and released in theatres in the northern belt. The film’s Hindi dubbed version is all set to hit theatres on May 24.
Directed by Sundar C, the horror comedy Aranmanai 4 premiered on May 3, to mixed to positive reviews from critics. As the fourth instalment in the Aranmanai film series, the franchise’s popularity significantly contributed to drawing audiences on its opening day.
