Mahesh Babu Prepares For SS Rajamouli's SSMB 29, Shooting To Begin In August: Report

Mahesh Babu’s upcoming movie with SS Rajamouli is undoubtedly one of the most awaited ones. While everyone is eagerly waiting for it, it has now been revealed that the Telugu superstar has started to prepare for the film.

Mahesh Babu To Begin Shoot For SSMB 29 In August 2024? 

As reported by Hindustan Times, Mahesh Babu is currently attending workshops to prepare for his role in SSMB 29. Not just this, the entertainment portal also claimed that the actor is likely to begin shooting for Rajamouli’s movie either in August or September this year.

“Rajamouli and producer KL Narayana recently met Mahesh in Dubai to discuss the film while he was vacationing there. The director is currently focused on the extensive pre-production a film of this scale requires. Mahesh is also attending workshops to get in the skin of the character and is dedicated to looking the part. Right now, the plan is to begin shooting in August or September,” a source cited by the entertainment portal said.

Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli Remain Tight-Lipped About The Film’s Plot

SSMB 29 has been making buzz online for a long time now. SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu have not yet revealed the title of their movie. They have also been tight-lipped about the film’s plot.

However, the RRR filmmaker was in Japan last month when he shed a little light on the film’s status and told fans, “We started my next film. We completed the writing, we are in the pre-production process…But we haven’t finished the casting yet. Only the main hero is locked, the protagonist of the film is locked. His name is Mahesh Babu, he is a Telugu actor (people hoot). Looks like many of you already know him. He is very handsome. Hopefully, we finish the film a little bit faster.”

SSMB 29 Will Be India’s Indiana Jones? 

Meanwhile, several unverified reports suggest that SSMB 29 will be India’s Indiana Jones. Reportedly, Mahesh Babu’s character in the film is inspired by Lord Hanuman. Even though it will be set in an African jungle, Mahesh’s character will possess traits similar to Lord Hanuman, who is renowned for his valour and determination while facing challenges in the jungles.

Previously, writer Vijayendra Prasad, who penned the story of the film, also revealed that the makers will be roping in Hollywood actors for the movie.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu was last seen in Trivikram Srinivas’ Guntur Kaaram. The film was released in January this year and received mixed reviews from all.
