Kangana Ranaut Calls Bollywood a 'Hopeless' Place: 'Jo Bhi Inko Telented Dikhta Hai...'
Kangana Ranaut accused Bollywood of ruining many careers and stated that they are 'jealous' of talented people.

Kangana Ranaut often makes statements against Bollywood. Recently, the actress was promoting her upcoming movie Emergency when she called the film industry a ‘hopeless’ place and claimed that they ‘boycott’ talented people. She further accused Bollywood of ruining many careers and stated they are ‘jealous’ of talented people.

“Only a people have a problem with me otherwise if you see me, I won an election and the kind of love that I receive from the industry, proves my point. So the problem is me or with them?” Kangana told Mashable India.

“Bollywood is, honestly I am saying, it is a very hopeless place. Kuch nahi hone wala inka. Ek toh talent se ye jalte hain. Jo bhi inko talented dikhta hain na uske piche pad ke ya toh usko khatam kar dete hain unka career barbaad kar dete hain unko boycott kar dete hain. Itna ganda PR kar kar ke unko badnaam karte hain (Nothing will happen with them. They are jealous of talent. If they see someone talented they go after them to destroy their career. Horrible PR is written on them and they are boycotted from the industry),” the actress added.

Meanwhile, talking about Emergency, Kangana Ranaut announced the film in 2021 but later clarified that even though it is a political drama, it is not Indira Gandhi’s biopic. The actress is not just playing the lead in the film but is also directing it. Besides Kangana, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry and Shreyas Talpade among others. While Shreyas Talpade will be seen playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Anupam Kher will be seen as Jayaprakash Narayan. Late actor Satish Kaushik will also be seen as Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Jagjivan Ram.

However, Emergency also landed in big trouble. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Akhal Takht demanded an immediate ban on the film, claiming it tries to “character assassinate” Sikhs by creating a narrative against them.

Emergency has been postponed multiple times and is now scheduled to hit theatres on September 6, 2024.
