The weekend saw an increased footfall of around 15% in the multiplexes and hence the numbers on Sunday were expected to be even better than the previous days.
The film, directed by Anurag Basu, stars Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in lead roles and is helmed on a budget of over Rs 110 crore. The delay in its release further aggravated the monetary aspect. But the makers have been cautious in opting for a limited release across 1800 screens in urban hubs and metros across India. However, given the response so far, it is difficult for the movie’s box office collections to even make-up for its budget.
