Darshan and Pavithra Gowda's Fingerprints Found On Objects Related To Renuka Swamy Murder: Police
The probe has also found out that Darshan and Pavithra Gowda were using SIM cards which were allegedly registered under somebody else's names.

In a big development in the Renuka Swamy murder case, it has now been reported that over 200 pieces of physical and technical evidence have been collected by the Karnataka police. An official has revealed that some of these objects also have fingerprints of actors Darshan and Pavithra Gowda, who are also among the accused in the case.

“The evidence was collected from the shed where the murder took place, the security guard’s room where the body was kept, the vehicle used for transportation, the site where the body was dumped, the victim’s clothes, and the weapons used in the attack. The fingerprints on the accused’s clothing were also analysed. The preliminary forensic report has confirmed that the fingerprints match those of the accused. This evidence will bolster the prosecution’s case in the upcoming trial,” a police official, who does not wish to be named, said as quoted by Hindustan Times.

Not just this, but the probe has also found out that Darshan and Pavithra were using SIM cards which were allegedly registered under somebody else’s names. While Darshan’s contact number was registered in CP Hemanth’s name, Pavithra had a number which was registered in the name of Manoj.

Darshan is being probed in connection to the Renuka Swamy murder case. Swamy was found dead in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He used to reportedly work at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. It has been alleged that Renuka used to send vulgar messages to Kannada actress Pavithra Gowad, a friend of Darshan. Angry about this, Renuka Swamy was murdered and his dead body was allegedly thrown in a canal at Kamaksshipalya, Bengaluru in front of Darshan. Reportedly, eight of the accused have implicated Darshan, claiming his presence during Renuka Swamy’s assault. The Kannada actor was arrested on June 11.

Recently, Darshan’s spouse, Vijayalakshmi also wrote a letter to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner, clarifying that she is the only legally wedded wife of the actor and that Pavithra Gowda, the prime accused in the fan murder case, is just a friend. “I have full faith in the judiciary and believe the law will take its course. While it is true that Pavithra Gowda is a friend of my husband, she is not his wife. I am the only legally wedded wife of Darshan, and our marriage took place at Dharmasthala (Hindu pilgrimage centre) on May 19, 2003,” Vijayalakshmi said.
