Nahta speculated that the film might collect close to Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend.
"My rough estimates ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania' Day 1 Rs 12-13 crore; Day 2 Rs 16-17 crore.; Day 3 Rs 20 crore. Weekend - Rs 48-50 crore. First week around Rs 80 crore," Nahta wrote.

The film has a good pull not just because of Varun and Alia's chemistry -- which has earlier been seen in Student of The Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, but also because of its hit soundtrack. A fresh take on the popular song "Tamma tamma" has also been included in the album.
