Director Ananth Mahadevan has cast newbies in his next film ‘Rough Book’, but he has had a very few workshops for them prior to the shoot of the movie.
Explaining why, Mahadevan said in statement: ‘The idea of casting newbies as students was to capture their restlessness and raw energy on screen. We didn’t want it to look trained or restrained at any point.’
‘Hence, we had workshops only to help them understand the characters. We didn’t want them to even learn their dialogues.’
The movie also features acclaimed actress Tannishtha Chatterjee.
