Nayanthara-Vignesh Wedding: The Couple Paid Ode To Their Roots in Custom Made Jade by Monica and Karishma ensembles

Lady Superstar Nayanthara and director Vignesh Shivan’s first wedding picture is out, and we can’t keep calm! The heart-warming wedding picture is adorned with tradition and grace.

Looking resplendent as a bride, Nayanthara and her groom Vignesh Shivan celebrated their roots in Jade by Monica and Karishma ensembles. The ensembles paid homage to and celebrated Nayanthara and Vignesh’s traditional roots.

According to Monica Shah of Jade the actress was keen on a sari instead of wearing a lehenga. So along with celebrating Nayanthara’s traditional values, the designer gave a contemporary feel to her bridal outfit. The sari comprised kalis to the pallu, making it more fluid and tactile.

Complementing his bride, the groom Vignesh Shivan looked dapper in a veshti, kurta and shawl handcrafted in the Jade atelier. The highlight of his overall look was the shawl. It featured ek taar embroidery, a key insignia of Jade’s DNA. Describing Vignesh’s wedding outfit, Monica says, “Vignesh Shivan’s outfit resonated with the four pheras signifying dharma, arth, kaam and moksha.”

Nayanthara’s gorgeous tone-on-tone embroidered bridal sari was adorned with jewellery designed by Goenka India. The actress picked the brand’s signature Zambian emerald choker, polki and large Russian tumble necklace, along with the Goenka India Signature Satlada – seven lines of diamonds, rose cuts, Polki and emeralds in a heritage setting.

She paired it with heritage polki and emerald studs earrings, an emerald and diamond maang tika, a rare Zambian emerald and antique diamond bangle, diamond and Zambian emerald bracelet, diamond rotatable emerald ring and an infinity Zambian emerald bangle on her wrists.
