The 48-year-old often shares inspiring yoga videos and also explains the benefits of various asanas that she practices. Recently, she shared an Instagram Reel where she practised a series of asanas that would help you get rid of that stubborn belly fat.

Let us take a look at the asanas recommended by Malaika Arora that will help you pursue your weight loss journey:

Naukasana or the Boat Pose

As the name suggests, it is a posture in which our body takes the shape of a boat. This asana is good for those who wish to reduce belly fat as well as to tone the abs. Naukasana can be performed lying both on the stomach and back. The asana will engage your core muscles, so if you are a beginner, you might find some difficulty in perfecting this asana. But persistence is key.

Kumbhakasan or the Plank Pose

This asana is a regular in dynamic asana sequences. It is known to strengthen the upper body, the arm muscles, wrists, and spine area. Plank Pose is also great for strengthening the core and toning the abdomen area. This asana is similar to a push-up. During this asana, your upper back is expended fully, increasing oxygenation of the muscle tissue and the release of tension between the shoulder blades.

Bhujangasana or Cobra pose

In this yoga pose, one lifts their body and then rest the weight on their palms, with the legs extended backwards. This is a heart-opening backbend that stretches your entire upper body and can also provide relief if you are experiencing back pain, tightness in your shoulders, or upper body soreness.

What's your reaction?
