The bride and the groom-to-be have arrived and how. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have reached the blue city - Jodhpur and the wedding bells are set to ring.
This morning, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas were spotted at the Mumbai airport as they headed for their big fat Indian wedding. According to media reports, Priyanka and Nick's grand wedding celebrations will begin tonight with mehendi and sangeet ceremony.
The couple will reportedly exchange their wedding vows in a Christian ceremony on December 2 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace which will then be followed by a Hindu ceremony in the later part of the day.
While sangeet is rumored to be celebrated at the Mehrangarh Fort, the wedding will take place at the palatial Taj Umaid Bhawan.
What do we know about the wedding venue so far?
As per estimates, the palace might have cost the couple a whopping $60,000, Rs 43 lakh. Yes, you've read that right.
We decided to take a virtual tour of the palatial destination that the couple has booked for their glittery nuptials.
Belonging to the Royal family of Jodhpur, Taj Umaid was initially a private residence built by Maharaja Umaid Singh. This heritage hotel is an architectural marvel which is now partly owned by Taj Hotels. The palace holds 42 suits and 22 rooms with libraries, ballrooms spreading over an area of 26 acres.
Umaid Bhawan has one thing in common with the iconic Taj Mahal and that is the palm court marble used in its construction making it look lavish and grand.
Visitors usually enjoy the architecture of the bygone era and the rich history the palace holds. For those who want a fairytale wedding this place is apt mainly because of its landscapes and the Baradari lawn and the exotic views of the historical Blue City, vast sand dunes, and intimidating Mehrangarh Fort.
Psst! The royal family of Umaid Bhawan still resides there and the palace is divided into a museum, hotel and the royal residence.
The flag gifted to Maharaja by Queen Victoria is still seen waving at the museum apart from other glass galleries, memorabilia and leopard antiques.
Hold on, there is more to this palace. Taj Umaid Bhawan stands on the highest point of the city, Chittar Hills, the reason behind the breathtaking view. The couple sure did a great deal of research before booking the lavish wedding venue.
Earlier, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra arrived to oversee the wedding preparations, she told the media: “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain (This is one of my favorite cities. We have chosen this city over the whole world.”
We already got a glimpse of the couple at the Roka ceremony, special puja in Mumabi and it clearly looks like they will leave no stone unturned to make it the most cherished big fat wedding of India.

With the D-day around the corner, Priyanka and Nick’s pre wedding ceremonies have begun. Yesterday at a special puja at Priyanka’s residence, the couple wowed everyone in their traditional avatar in Manish Malhotra outfits.
Priyanka looked chic in a light blue kurta with pink and silver embroidery and teamed it with straight pants. The American pop singer looked adorable in pink kurta-pajama by the same designer and teamed it with beige ethnic shoes. We couldn’t miss the couple flaunting a pair of sauve sunglasses.
