K-pop artist Oh Chang Hoon, who was one part of the duo One Two, has died. The South Korean star passed away on Tuesday, November 14. Oh Chang Hoon was 47. It is reported that he succummed to his fight with cancer. Oh Chang Hoon was a part of the JYP Entertainment duo alongside Song Ho Bum. According to AllKPop, Oh Chang Hoon died at 6:30 am KST. He was battling stage 4 of colon cancer and neuroendocrine cancer. It is said that he recently underwent surgery and was being monitored by the hospital.
Song Ho Bum reacted to his death in an interview with Sports World. As reported by Koreaboo, Song Ho Bum said that Oh Chang Hoon’s health deteriorated in the past month. “Chang Hoon recently underwent the 8th round of cancer treatment and was getting better, so we had hope… Neuroendocrine tumors are a rapidly deterioriating disease. His health weakened over the past month, and he passed away while focusing on treatment,” he said.
“I hope Chang Hoon is no longer in pain. Tell Taeyang (Oh Chang Hoon’s son) not to worry… I was happy to make music with my brother,” Song Ho Bum added.
Who was Oh Chang Hoon?
The K-pop artist made his musical debut in 2003 under JYP Entertainment. He was a part of the K-pop duo group group, One Two. With Song Ho Bum, the duo delivered hit songs such as ‘Now, Hips,’ and ‘Thump Thump’. Oh Chang Hoon went on to become a DJ and wrote songs for K-dramas OSTs. Oh Chang Hoon married his girlfriend in 2019 and they share a son.
