BANGALORE: In a bizarre mishap, a 24-year-old youth died when he put his head out of the window from a moving bus and hit a stationery vehicle at Bhadrappa Layout near Hebbal on Monday afternoon. The victim succumbed to head injury, the police said.The deceased has been identified as G P Harish, an employee at a private company. The incident took place when he put his head out of the window to see an accident involving the bus, apparently in which he was travelling and a tempo. However, the bus driver moved the bus suddenly, which the victim failed to notice and his head hit the tempo which was parked on the road side, the police said. The incident occurred at around 12 pm. The victim received a severe head injury. Though he was taken to a nearby hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead. “The driver of the tempo had parked the vehicle and the BMTC bus, which was going towards Hebbal slightly hit the tempo from the left. Meanwhile, Harish put his head out of the window to catch a glimpse of the accident and eventually lost his life,” the police explained. Harish, a native of Tarikere in Chikmagalur district was staying in an apartment at T Dasarahalli. The bus was coming from Kottigepalya. Hebbal traffic police have registered a case.
