A youth allegedly killed his father over a land dispute here, police said on Thursday. Mohammad Zahir (65), while sleeping in his mango orchard in Rasulpuram village in Dariyabad area on Wednesday night, was attacked with crude bombs allegedly by his son Sohail (35) and later hacked by the son and his friends, they said.

Zahir died on-the-spot, police said. The incident was stated to be a fallout of a dispute between the father and the son over a certain land, that included the mango orchard, they said.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection, police said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
