New Delhi: The selection committee may feel that Sourav Ganguly doesn't fit into Team India's scheme of things for the future but the sacked southpaw is determined to play in World Cup 2007.
"World Cup 2007 is my goal and I believe that I have enough cricket left in me," Ganguly told CNN-IBN from Kolkata.
"I will go and play domestic cricket. That is the only way to make a comeback. I still have it in me to perform at international level," the 32-year-old said.
After being handed the pink slip in One-Dayers, the 'Prince of Kolkata' was unceremoniously dropped from the Test squad for the Ahmedabad match despite scoring a crucial 40 and 39 in two innings of the second Test in New Delhi.
His exclusion triggered protests all across the country prompting even some Members of Parliament to take up the matter.
Ganguly remained tightlipped about his meeting with BCCI chief Sharad Pawar in the capital recently.
"I can't reveal the details as it was a personal meeting. But it went off well," he said.
