The in-laws of a 21-year-old wife in Nadia district allegedly refused to allow the her enter the house with new born baby girl as she is HIV positive patient.

The in-laws of a 21-year-old wife in Nadia district allegedly refused to allow the her enter the house with new born baby girl as she is HIV positive patient.

According to police sources the woman, a resident of Tehatta Duttapara village in Nadia district had given birth of a baby girl on October 13. The family members of her husband did not turn up to take back her home, even after release from hospital.

She went to the house of her in-laws on Friday as her husband works in Pune but they allegedly refused to allow her enter the house with her baby girl, the sources said.

Krishna was married about 18-months back. Some five months back she was detected to be HIV positive. A police officer said that she has been rescued with the help of local panchayat member and arranged a shelter for her at Tehatta Hospital for the time being.
