Shahjahanpur: In a shocking incident, two brothers have beheaded their 17-year-old sister for being in a relationship in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur. The accused then allegedly paraded the severed head in the village.
One of the accused has been arrested while the other is absconding after the gruesome act.
In another incident in Uttar Pradesh's Baghpat, a Khap Panchayat had ordered the rape incident as punishment. The 23-year-old woman has moved the Supreme Court seeking protection.
"We have left Baghpat for the time being because we were facing threats there. The Jat community panchayat said that they would do the same to us what happened to their daughter. And when we told police they didn't listen to us. We are waiting for SC's decision because we can't go back to the village. We are two sisters and they have threatened to rape us. We want police protection, said the woman.
