The UDF liaison committee has recommended the state government to demand a CBI probe into the Marad case, ith specific reference to the conspiracy and funding behind the massacre.
The recommendation was based on the ‘belated wisdom’ of the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) for such a probe. Both the UDF and the LDF were against such a probe all along.
As for the BJP, while the state unit stood for it, the party central leadership shot it down.
Doctors’ Stir Flayed
The meet also took a serious view of the threat of government doctors to go on a strike. It urged the government to take immediate alternative steps and go stern against the stir.
