Police arrived soon and initiated rescue operations. The car driver and a passenger sitting on the front seat were rushed to a nearby hospital with injuries. Police said that no one else sustained major injuries in the mishap.“Only minor injuries were reported. Only the car driver and a passenger sustained some injuries. Two persons sustained injuries after a vestibule bus operated by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) rammed a car before ploughing into a compound wall near Ambattur on Sunday night. The bus was ferrying passengers from Avadi to Tambaram.

The bus then rammed a cab, operated by Fast Track, coming from Ambattur and subsequently hit the compound wall of the Dunlop factory, damaging it.
