Two girls stabbed by stalkers

WARANGAL: Swati (20), a final year engineering student, was attacked by a stalker, who is suspected to be her cousin, on Vaddepalli 100-feet road near Hanamkonda on Saturday night. The stalker stabbed her in the stomach and slit Swati’s throat. She died while undergoing treatment in MGM Hospital.In a similar incident, Rafiya, a native of Senhapuri Colony in Kamareddy, Nizamabad district was stabbed to death by a stalker, Laxman. Later, Laxman shot himself dead.According to police, Swati, a native of Mallikudurla in Dharmasagar mandal was studying BTech in Talla Padmavati Engineering College on the outskirts of Warangal.  Police said she was on way to her room with a friend, Rama on a two-wheeler after college, when the stalker attacked her. Locals shifted Swati, who was profusely bleeding, to MGM Hospital in an 108 ambulance.Swati’s family members said her cousin had been following her urging her to marry him for the last few months. Police said that there were seven injuries on her stomach and two injuries on her neck. A case has been registered.
