Three Maoists rebels killed in bomb-blast

New Delhi:Three Maoist rebels were killed and two others seriously injured when a bomb they were carrying accidentally went off in central Nepal, security sources said on Tuesday.

The rebels including a woman, died on the spot in the explosion at Sarikhet area in Makawanpur district.

Two others, including a child standing nearby were also injured in the blast.

Meanwhile, the house of newly elected Deputy Mayor of Ramgram Municipality, Ramesh Yadav, was damaged in a blast carried out by the Maoists.

Nobody was injured in the incident as the Maoists asked the family members to vacate the house before exploding the socket bomb.
