Ten girls rescued from lodge

BANGALORE: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police rescued 10 girls who were trafficked to Bangalore from other states. They were rescused from a lodge in Gandhinagar and the pimp has been arrested.The pimp, Naveen Prakash Hegde (36), a native of Sedimane of Kundapur and a resident of R T Nagar, was running a Jashna/Cowboy Dance Bar on Brigade Road.He would bring girls to Bangalore from Punjab, Kolkata, Bhopal Varanasi and other cities on the pretext of providing them with jobs.They were not cab driversFour miscreants were arrested by J P Nagar police for allegedly robbing techies in the guise of cab drivers. A car and two two-wheelers have been seized. One of the accused Prashanth was using his Tata Indica Car to rob software engineers. They offered to drop the victims at late in the night near Silk Board Junction, BTM Layout and surrounding areas. They robbed the techies by driving them into remote places.
