Mumbai: Prabhat Kumar Goyal, captain of the Stolt Valor, and his crew are finally making their journey back home.
The ship has docked in Muscat in Oman, where the 18 member crew is being administered medical and psychological treatment before they will fly to Mumbai.
The Stolt Valor was hijacked off the coast of Somalia on the September 15.
The two month long hijack drama ended on Sunday, after endless negotiations and a ransom of $2.5 mn dollars was paid to Somalian pirates by the Japanese firm that owns the Valor.
The vessel is being piloted and brought back to India by a replacement crew.
Wife of captain Goyal, Seema Goyal had vehemently sought help from concerning authorities regarding her husband’s release.
Finally, her prayers have been answered and the reunion of the Goyal family will indeed make a happy ending of a dramatic sea saga.
