Five people, including four members of the same family, were killed after a speeding SUV collided with a moped scooter on a highway in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The accident took place at Sivarakottai near Tirumangalam on the Virudhunagar-Madurai highway in Tamil Nadu.
As per the CCTV footage shared by news agency ANI, the vehicle rolled several times after it hit a divider on a highway, killing five people. The speeding white SUV can be seen coming closer to the slow-moving two-wheeler in the video clip before it hit the moped and rammed the concrete divider.
Soon after the SUV hit the divider, it flew into the air, kicking up a cloud of dust. The vehicle was also seen rolling several times towards the other side of the four-lane highway showing the impact of the accident. Following this, the passers-by were seen running toward the vehicle to check on the passengers.

The deceased have been identified as Kanagavel, Krishnakumari, Pandi, Nagajothi, Shiva Aadhamika and Shiva Sree.
Kanagavel, accompanied by his wife Krishnakumari, cousin Nagajyoti, and a child, was traveling in their car at the time of accident.
The mishap took place as Kanagavel, driving towards Madurai, attempted to avoid colliding with a two-wheeler. However, he lost control and the vehicle crashed into the barrier wall in the middle of the road.
