The investigation would be monitored directly by CBI Additional Director Salim Ali, Ravindran added.Recording the submission, the bench posted the matter for further hearing after four weeks.Earlier, advocte S Prabakaran contended that even after lapse of over four months from the date of murder, no arrest had been made by the CBI. It had examined about 210 persons and recorded their statements.``The investigation was only an eye-wash. We don’t have confidence on the present team holding investigation in the case,’’ Prabakaran said and added that CBI officers from other States, led by Salim Ali, an IPS cadre of Tripura, might be directed to hold further investigation in the case without any bias and influence from the State police.
