Sold away child back with mom

 A child sold away by his father was, on Sunday, reunited with his mother after three weeks, thanks to police’s efforts. Jana Talupulu (30) of Timmarayapalem in Nidadavolu mandal, sold his son Pethru (4) for `85,000 to M Sukilu of Surappagudem in Bhimadolu mandal on August 24.

 Talupulu had quarrled with his wife Nagamma and left the house with his son and sold him. Later, Nagamma came to know of the sale through her relatives She lodged a complaint with police. On the advise of the police, Sukilu handed over the child.
