THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Malankara Social Service Society (MSSS) is organising ‘Srothas Social Science Congress’ on the St Mary’s campus, Pattom, on December 30 and 31. The focal theme of the congress is ‘Inclusive development with social justice: Kerala experiences and perspectives.’ The objective of the congress is to document the participation of 12 marginalised groups in the development process of the state for the past 20 years. They include small farmers, fisherfolk, artisans in the unorganised sector, workers of traditional manufacturing sector, migrant workers, scheduled tribes, schedules castes, women, children, adolescents and youth, aged and BPL families. Researchers, scientists, development practitioners, government officials, policy makers, LSG representatives and NGO activists can attend the event.
