While the flood waters recede from some of the affected areas of Jammu and Kashmir, there is no let up in the efforts of defence forces and rescue teams to bring people to safer places. The Indian Air Force on Wednesday brought in MI-26, the world's biggest chopper, to rescue the lakhs still stranded in the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir. Nearly 17 IAF transport aircraft have been deployed for rescue operations even as the death toll crossed 200 in the worst floods witnessed by the state in six decades.
