SM Krishna to attend summit on Afghan's future

New Delhi: Foreign Minister SM Krishna will attend the crucial 14-nation summit on Afghanistan's future which will commence in Istanbul on Wednesday. His counterparts from China, Russia, Saudi Arabia are also expected to be at the meet.

Krishna will underscore India's support to the Afghanistan government

and call for an Afghan led peace process.

The Foreign Minister is also likely to voice cautious support for reconciliation with the Taliban.

Sources add that Krishna is expected to oppose any role for ISI's proxies such as the Haqqani terror nexus.

Reports say that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will not be attending the summit but other US envoys will be representing her.
