CPM Kunnumakkara Local Committee member K C Ramachandran is the first person included in the chargesheet after the assailants.CPM Kozhikode District Secretariat member and the husband of Kuttiady MLA K K Lathika, P Mohanan is named 14th accused in the case.  CPM state committee member K K Ragesh, Kannur District Secretariat member Karayi Rajan, District Committee member and Onchiyam Area Secretary C H Ashokan, Area Committee member K K Krishnan, Panur Area Committee member P K Kunhanandan, Orkattery Local Committee member Padayamkandy Raveendran, Kunnothuparamba Local Committee members Jyothi Babu and Vadakkayi Manoj and Koothuparamba Area Committee office secretary Babu are the other party leaders involved in the case.Thalassery Area Committee member P P Ramakrishnan is not an accused in the case but he is a main accused in the conspiracy case to eliminate TP in 2009 along with Onchiyam Area Secretary C H Ashokan, registered by Chombala police, sources said.Sources maintained that the SIT can conduct further investigation into the larger conspiracy behind the killing with court’s permission.The 1,000-page chargesheet is ready and the police have prepared required number of photostat copies of the chargesheet, which comes around 100 copies.
