KOCHI: Navajeevanam Free Dialyis Centre of the Sathya Sai Trust is doing yeoman service for the needy. It offers dialysis free of cost to the poorest of the poor across the state. Over the past six years, the Centre has set up 12 free dialysis centres in 10 districts and hopes to cover all the districts in the state.Many have donated dialysis machines to these centres. The latest on the list is industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly. His Thomas Chittilappilly Trust handed over a dialysis machine to Navajeevanam at a function held at Bharat Tourist Home on Saturday.Former Speaker A C Jose inaugurated the function. Dr M Subhadra Nair, acting chairperson, Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust, Kerala, presided over the function.Dr V Ramalingam, chairman, Navajeevanam Free Dialysis Centre, Ernakulam, gave the keynote address. Major M G C Nair, Bharat Khona, Captain Mohandas and N K Latheef were also present. Dr Prasanna proposed the vote of thanks.
