The sleuths of the Fraud and Misappropriation Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) have arrested two persons for allegedly selling fake HP laptop batteries and chargers. Mahendra Kumar, 22 and Leela Ram, 21 are the arrested persons.
Police said that the accused were running Ashiq Infotech at S P Road and Sun Technology near Sharada theatre. They were selling batteries and chargers misusing the brand of HP company. Based on a tip off, the police raided the shops and both were arrested. Around 29 batteries and 17 chargers worth `2.5 lakh have been recovered from them. A case has been registered in Ulsoor Gate police station.
