HYDERABAD: Asserting that the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was ready to face elections whenever they were held, party chief N Chandrababu Naidu dared YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to withdraw support to Kiran Kumar Reddy government.Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Naidu said that TDP was not in a hurry to grab power by backdoor methods. “We will face elections and come out successfully,” he averred. On the no-trust motion, Naidu said Kiran Kumar Reddy government shied away from its responsibility of debating the no-trust motion for which TDP had served a notice. Even the governor was supporting the ruling party instead of advising the speaker to debate the no-trust motion. “TDP has no second thought on no-trust motion. We will serve another notice whenever Assembly is convened,” Naidu said. Naidu alleged that Jagan had colluded with the Congress and supported their candidate in the speaker election. “Jagan has no moral right to level charges against the TDP on the no-trust motion,” Naidu remarked.TDP president also blamed the ruling Congress for shielding Jagan. “Jagan is scared of probes and supporting Congress. In turn the Congress is protecting Jagan as it feared that the kickbacks it received from YS Rajasekhara Reddy would come out,” he said.Naidu advised the chief minister to solve the farmers’ problems first and then go for Rytu Chaitanya yatras.Extending support to Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev, Naidu said: “The need of the hour is to fight for economic freedom of the country. Corruption is more dangerous than terrorism.”
