Mumbai: Keeping Rajini's health in mind, producers are reportedly preparing another less strenuous project for the superstar.
As news emerges that the much-delayed action-adventure thriller 'Rana'will see further delay, with lead actor Rajinikant's doctors advising him for more rest, at least till February next year, sources tell us that the film might be shelved for the moment for a less strenuous action film with the actor.
According to sources, the film's producers are unsure if the superstar will be able to take on the physical exertions that 'Rana' will require, which is being modelled as an Indian Gladiator and among other things will require the lead actor to perform horse-riding and sword-fighting stunts.
Instead the superstar might plunge into an altogether new film, one that will be made by the same producers, Eros International and Dr Murli Manohar.
The new film, according to a source, is now being worked out. "We're looking at a more stylized action film, like 'The Bourne' series," said the source. He added, "'Rana' needs heavy-duty action sequences. Everyone connected with the project has advised us to postpone 'Rana'."
