They allege construction material from singer's home damaged river bridge.
New Delhi: Maharashtra's Raigarh district council has decided to file a criminal case against singer Shankar Mahadevan in the local district court for unauthorised construction.
Mahadevan has constructed a farmhouse in Karalewadi village in Raigarh, and during the building process a local river bridge was damaged.
According to the Zila Parishad authorities, a large part of Mahadevan's farmhouse's construction material had spilled over into the river basin because of which the bridge got damaged.
The bridge subsequently collapsed during this monsoon season. The Raigadh Zila Parishad has now passed a resolution to file a police case against Mahadevan.
